A magpie in the tree

Or deer in the parking lot

Teddy: What Do I See

Wonder what I’ll see out the window today.

Mr. Squirrel munching on a peanut.

Birds keeping warm in the sun.

Oh look! A cardinal came to visit.

Mom gave me my favorite blanket. She must have known I’d be ready to nap.

I have one more thing to say before I drift off to sleep.

Me:   Teddy, look what I saw in the backyard.  This hawk was sitting in the pine tree enjoying the view. 

He’s too big for me. 

The animals are smaller out the front window. 

I like watching the squirrels

running through the grass

and the robins.

 

 

 

Mookie: I Need A Snack Too

If the birds are eating their seed, it’s only fair I get a plate of food while I watch them.

Where did all these birds come from?  

They’re in the trees and on the lawn.

 

I can’t take it anymore.  I need a nap.
